Our Story

An American story.

Forge Protection began with a simple frustration: the gear protecting American workers was not built to the standard of the work itself. So we set out to change that, from a small town in the Mountain West.

Forge Protection gear in the field

The Beginning

It started where the work is.

Forge Protection was founded in Gunnison, Utah, a town where work is not an abstraction. It is ranches, quarries, shops, and job sites, and it is neighbors who spend their lives in all of them.

We started with a question we could not let go of: why is the equipment that protects working people so often the cheapest thing on the site? The tools are professional grade. The machines are professional grade. The gloves and helmets should be too.

Protection should be the best-built thing on the job site.

The Craft

Engineered past the minimum.

Every Forge product starts at the ANSI minimum and then keeps going. Higher cut ratings, tougher shells, materials chosen for years of service instead of weeks. We engineer our gear the way our customers build: to last.

And because protection only works when it gets worn, we obsess over comfort and fit. A glove that stays in the truck protects no one.

Do it right. Make it last. Stand behind it.

The Road Ahead

One system for American crews.

Helmets, gloves, eyewear, and mounted accessories, designed to work as one system. That is where we are headed: one standard of protection for every crew that builds, maintains, and powers this country.

Built for the people who build America.
